WELCOME TO FOODS 12! We are going to have a GREAT semester together. This course will introduce you to new ideas, foods, techniques, and more. Topics and recipes are subject to change depending on time constraints and student/teacher interest but may include:
- Advanced food preparation techniques: safety, sanitation, time management, measuring, equipment, recipe analysis, ingredient discovery
- Delicious recipes: pastry and baking, a variety of simple meals for when you move out, superfoods and a variety that will be designed by you.
- Food Topics: food safety, sugar analysis, marketing and consumerism, nutrition, sustainability, smart shopping, and tasting.
